Hold the hotkey and speak — Hovor records your audio and instantly converts it to text. Works in any app: messengers, editors, browsers. The result is automatically pasted into the active field. Supports Ukrainian, English, German, French, Spanish and Polish — you can switch between them within a single recording.
Every recording goes through AI processing: filler words are removed, punctuation is added, grammar is corrected. Two formatting levels — "Clean up" for light correction and "Structure" for complete text restructuring. Tone is customizable: neutral, business, or casual — text adapts to context.
Recognizer unstable on a word? List all variants separated by | — Hovor replaces any of them with the canonical form. Example: говір|говор|говер → Hovor. Replacement runs on-device, no AI round-trip. One dictionary, synced across Mac, Windows, and iPhone.

Hovor supports Ukrainian, English, German, French, Spanish, Polish, and many other languages. You can change the language during recording or in the settings.
By default — yes: transcription runs through the Hovor server for highest quality, and audio is deleted immediately after processing. On macOS and iOS you can switch to an on-device model — Whisper or Parakeet — in settings and dictate offline. The free plan applies the same 500-word weekly limit; a Pro subscription or lifetime license removes that cap. On-device models are optimized for the Apple Neural Engine, so for usable speed we recommend Apple Silicon (M1+) Macs or iPhones running iOS 18+ with enough RAM (4 GB+ for Parakeet, 6 GB+ for Whisper). Windows still requires a server connection.
Hovor is available for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows 10/11, and iOS 18+. On-device models (Whisper, Parakeet) are optimized for the Apple Neural Engine — for usable performance we recommend macOS Apple Silicon (M1 and newer) or iOS 18+.
Hovor is available on the App Store — search «Hovor» on iPhone or iPad, or use the link in the download block. The Free plan gives 500 cloud words per week per account (the quota is shared across all your devices) plus unlimited on-device transcription on supported iPhones. A Pro subscription removes the cloud cap and unlocks 5-device sync.

Open the Dictionary in any Hovor app — Windows, macOS, or iOS — and add a new entry. If the recognizer produces several spellings for the same word, list all variants separated by | in the word field, for example говір|говор|говер, and set the canonical form as the replacement (Hovor). Hovor then rewrites every variant to that canonical form locally on the device, with no extra AI round-trip, so latency stays low.
Say a code word (for example, "signature"), Hovor recognizes it and inserts the full text template. Snippets are edited in the app; there are two modes: synced (across devices) and local (single-device only).

Audio is deleted immediately after transcription — we do not store voice recordings. Text transcription history is stored exclusively on the device locally.
Hovor Pro can be purchased via the App Store (iOS) or the website (personal cabinet at hovor.app). If you bought Pro in the App Store, the subscription works on all platforms (Mac, Windows, iOS) and is managed through your Apple ID: on iOS it's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, on Mac the app opens apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. If you bought it through the website, cancel from your personal cabinet. Either way, access remains until the end of the paid period.
You can delete your account through your personal cabinet or by sending a request to kyrylo.holovchenko@gmail.com. All data is deleted within 30 days.
